Can I add a product from the mobile app?
Yes. A manager, owner, administrator, or custom-role member with effective Manage products access can add and edit catalog products in the Trurep mobile app. It is not limited to the web dashboard. Your role’s name alone does not grant this permission.
Navigate to Add product
- Tap Menu, the three-line button in the mobile app.
- Open Sales & products → Products. For Insurance, Education, or Finance, open Sales & sales catalog → Sales catalog. In a short menu or a single-item group, Products or Sales catalog may appear directly in Menu.
- Tap Add product. Enter Product name, Sale unit, and Price per sale unit (NGN). Add optional SKU / product code, Brand, and Category, and set Active as appropriate.
- Tap Save product and read the saved or error message.
Edit a product or its price
- Open Menu → Sales & products → Products, or the Sales catalog route for your industry.
- Tap the product card to open Product details.
- Tap the Edit product icon at the top right. Update the fields or Active switch, then tap Save product.
- Inactive products stay in past records but cannot be selected for new sales or deliveries.
- Accepted product-sale records retain their saved item and price snapshots; catalog changes affect future work.
Saving without a connection
Product additions and changes can queue on this device when disconnected or after a temporary network failure. “Product saved on this device. It will sync automatically.” means a local pending change, not a confirmed server update.
- Product cards show Waiting to sync or Needs review. Manager and custom-role profiles do not offer the Profile → Sync queue shortcut in this release.
- Keep pending device data intact, reconnect in the original account and workspace, and pull down to refresh the catalog. If Needs review remains, ask your administrator or support for help; a server validation or permission refusal still needs to be resolved.
If the catalog or Add product is missing
Check that you are in the intended organization and that your active plan and role include Manage products. Ask the owner or administrator to review your permission. Record sales alone lets you select existing products for a sale; it does not grant product creation or editing. Ordinary agent and driver navigation differs from manager navigation.
