Field sales visibility

GPS sales rep tracking with evidence for every visit

Trurep connects a rep’s field visit to the customer, location, site photo and notes recorded in the mobile app. Managers can review those check-ins alongside sales instead of piecing together a day’s activity from messages and spreadsheets.

For consumer goods distributors, retail sales teams and other businesses that visit customers in person, this creates a practical record of who visited, where the visit was recorded and what was sold.

What your team can do

Give each visit context

Reps select a customer, capture their location, take a site photo and add notes. The resulting record ties field activity to a specific customer visit.

Review location exceptions

On plans with geofence and mock-location review, Trurep checks the visit against the customer’s registered location and surfaces activity that needs attention.

Connect activity to sales

Record sales values or product quantities and review the team’s submitted activity from the web dashboard. Use the records to follow up on customer coverage and sales performance.

From customer setup to a reviewable visit

  1. Set up the team and customer locations

Invite your field team and add the customers they visit. Keep registered customer coordinates accurate so location comparisons reflect the actual site.

  2. Capture the visit at the site

The rep opens the mobile check-in form, selects the customer, captures a GPS location and takes the required site photo. Notes add context for the manager reviewing the visit.

  3. Record the sale

Use sales capture to record the amount or applicable catalog products and quantities. Check-ins and sales can be saved offline after the workspace is prepared.

  4. Review synced activity

Managers use the dashboard to review submitted check-ins and sales. On eligible plans, flagged visits help focus follow-up on location exceptions rather than treating every visit the same.

Questions about gps sales rep tracking

Does GPS check-in tracking mean a manager sees every movement?

A check-in records location evidence for a particular visit. It is different from an ongoing location session or an active delivery run. Use check-ins to review customer visits and delivery tracking to follow delivery activity.

Can reps check in without internet?

Yes. After signing in and preparing their workspace online, reps can save check-ins and sales in the mobile app without a connection. Location and camera access are still needed, and the records must sync before managers can see them on the web dashboard.

What happens when a rep checks in outside the customer’s location?

On a plan with geofence review, a visit outside the configured radius is flagged for review. Managers can inspect the recorded visit rather than assuming that a successful upload means the location was verified.
