Work through connection gaps

An offline field sales app for visits beyond reliable internet

A weak mobile connection should not force a rep to reconstruct a customer visit later. Trurep’s mobile app saves check-ins and sales on the phone so field teams can capture work where it happens.

Prepare the workspace while connected, use the saved customer and product lists in the field, and reconnect to send pending work. Managers receive the records after they have synced.

What your team can do

Capture at the customer site

Save a check-in with location, a site photo and notes, or record a sale, without waiting for a working data connection. The app keeps pending work on the phone for sync.

Use prepared customer lists

Downloaded customer and product information supports field capture during connection gaps. Prepare the correct workspace before leaving coverage so the lists needed for the day are available.

See what still needs to sync

Pending work remains distinct from uploaded records. Review sync status when reconnecting so a saved sale or check-in is not mistaken for an update already received by the office.

Prepare, capture and reconnect

  1. Connect before field work

Sign in to the mobile app and open the workspace you will use. Allow customer and product lists to load, and check that the required entries are available before going offline.

  2. Keep normal capture requirements ready

Allow location and camera access and leave enough storage on the phone. Offline capture still needs a usable location for check-ins and space to save records and photos.

  3. Save check-ins and sales in the field

Select a prepared customer, take the site photo and add visit notes, or record a value or product sale. Confirm the app has saved the entry before leaving the form.

  4. Reconnect and check the queue

Open or resume Trurep with a working connection so pending entries can sync. Review any items that need attention; managers see the records once the server has accepted them.

Questions about offline field sales app

Can I use Trurep offline on a new phone immediately?

Connect first to sign in and prepare the workspace’s customer and product data. A new phone cannot access account data it has never downloaded. Check the needed lists before leaving internet coverage.

Will the office see a sale while the rep is offline?

No. A sale saved on the phone becomes available to the office after it syncs successfully. Offline capture preserves the field entry; it does not create a live connection to the dashboard.

Does everything upload as soon as the phone gets signal?

The app retries pending work when connected during active use or on resume. Open Trurep and review sync status after reconnecting. Phone operating systems can limit work while an app is suspended or closed, so do not rely on an immediate background upload.

What should a rep do if an entry needs attention?

Open the sync queue and read the entry’s status. A connection problem may be retried, while an access, price or validation issue may need review. Confirm the existing entry’s status before entering the same sale again.
